In the Alleghany Mountains near Covington Virginia is one of the largest water falls in the state. This historic site was once surveyed by Thomas Jefferson and was donated to the Commonwealth of Virginia by MeadWestvaco in 2004. The water plummets into Falling Spring Creek and flows down the mountain emptying into the Jackson River. |
