Grandview State Park in Raleigh County West Virginia is owned by the National Park Service and is part of the New River Gorge National River. The main overlook in the park offers a spectacular “horseshoe” view of the New River as it winds its way through the gorge 1400 feet below. You can also see a railroad still in use and the town of Quinnimont where the first coal was shipped out of the gorge in1873. |
