This Carriage House was built in the 1840’s by Henry Blair and is part of the Blair Farm located in Boone, NC. The original farm was 2,000 plus acres owned by Henry Blair and his brothers. The remaining 9.1 acres that include the carriage house, farm house and several other buildings are being restored by family. In August of 2008 the farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and they are also a Certified Organic Farm. The carriage house and the other buildings on the farm are the oldest existing buildings in Boone, NC. |
