The Snake River Overlook, located between Moose & Moran Junction, is probably the most famous overlook in the Grand Tetons National Park. In fact this is where Ansel Adams photographed his famous image of the Grand Teton Range in 1941. Flowing from its source in Yellowstone National Park, approximately fifty miles of the 1,056 mile river meanders its way through the Grand Teton National Park. It originates near the Continental Divide in northwest Wyoming continues south through Jackson Lake on through Idaho, Oregon, and Washington where it becomes a major tributary of the Columbia River. |
