Slot canyons are deep, water and wind eroded sandstone crevices that cut vertically through the earth. They are very narrow but not deep enough to keep the light and shadows from reflecting the amazing colors, textures and patterns of the rocks through the passageways. Just outside the Glen Canyon National Recreation area near Page Arizona, on Navajo Nation Land, you will find Antelope Canyon, the most photographed of the slot canyons. |
